Research: My PhD project (“OCA-II: Tailoring information to older cancer patients: Effects of using web-based provider- and patient-directed tools”) focuses on the effectiveness of two online health information tools for older cancer patients: (1) The Geriatric Navigator is an online provider-directed tool which maps age-related problems of older cancer patients. Healthcare providers can use this information in the decision making process surrounding the treatment of the patient. (2) The Patient Navigator is an online patient-directed tool, which will provide patients with information during diagnosis, treatment and follow up, and which will aid patients in preparing for their consultations.
