Interests: prof. dr. Eugène Loos holds a PhD in international business communication. He is currently a professor of Old and New Media in an Ageing Society in the Department of Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam and senior lecturer at the Utrecht School of Governance, Utrecht University. He is also a member of the research schools Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) and the Netherlands Institute of Government (NIG).
Research: He has conducted research and written several books and articles in the field of organisational (intercultural) organization. Currently his research focuses on the role of new media related to accessible health information for senior citizens.
Teaching: Communication, policy and management
The program Persuasive Communication addresses those communication processes that are intended to achieve specific persuasive goals, as is the case in, for instance, marketing communication, health education, and public information campaigns.
