Interests: In the role of online health information in doctor-patient communication and how this information should be presented (i.e., the role of visuals) to older cancer patients.
Research: My PhD project (“OCA-I: Effective ways of presenting online information to older cancer patients”) focuses on how online information should be presented to older cancer patients. By studying the effects of affective and cognitive illustrations and video’s (particularly the role of modality and narration style), we learn how online health information can improve patient satisfaction and recall of cancer-related information.
