Research interests: My interest lies in how people process and store linguistic and visual information, how this interacts with other mental processes, and how this affects their behavior. In my research I specifically examine under which circumstances persuasive messages have an implicit impact on consumers and how this affects their subsequent decisions.

The program Persuasive Communication addresses those communication processes that are intended to achieve specific persuasive goals, as is the case in, for instance, marketing communication, health education, and public information campaigns.
