Interests: The integration of innovative strategies such as computer-tailored eHealth interventions into the (primary) care setting is one of my main research interests. Besides, I am very interested in the construct of motivation and in how to optimize the motivation to change health related behavior, so that it will be translated into actual health behavior change. Specialties: web-based, lifestyle, intervention, computer-tailoring, primary care, motivation
Research: My PhD research concerned the development, effectiveness and feasibility of a web-based computer-tailored smoking cessation program (www.phdthesis.nl/eline). After I obtained my PhD in October 2012, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Health Promotion at Maastricht University continuing on this line of research focusing on the improvement of web-based smoking cessation interventions using motivation-enhancing strategies.
Teaching: Message Strategies, Afstudeerproject, Communicatie Advies en Onderzoek in de Praktijk, Practicum Academische- en Onderzoeksvaardigheden, Topic Health Communication, Master thesis begeleiding.
